Today, after the conversion of the town centre into a pedestrian zone—which has brought life and vibrancy—the café offers a terrace right on the town square and another, more secluded, inside the space that was once the house’s garden. Details matter. Music matters, the kind that accompanies but doesn’t interrupt conversation. So does the care always taken in serving a splendid, aromatic coffee or a varied selection of teas and herbal infusions.
The bar thus becomes the perfect place both for the first coffee of the day and the last beer of the evening. Whether it’s a mid-morning break, which the magnificent “llonguet” elevates to the level of ritual, or the midday vermouth, brightened by a small tapa of pica-pica or jonquillo croquettes, for example.
