Ntra Sra de la Lactancia

The original church of s’Arenal stands on high ground known as ‘es Fossar’. It is located on a plot of land donated by its owner, Antonio Salvà de l’Allapassa i Ripoll. The first stone was laid on 25 February 1896, and on 12 July of the same year, the first part of the chapel was blessed and inaugurated. The work was completed in 1902 and is in the neo-Gothic style.

Due to the population growth in S’Arenal, this church became too small and work on the new church began in 1969, preserving the previous building. The new church opened its doors in 1971.
