Pancaritat

At the end of Holy Week, the Pancaritat is celebrated. In Llucmajor, it takes the form of a pilgrimage that sets out from the town, accompanied by the gegants (giants) and the traditional sounds of xirimies (shawms), tamborins (drums), and fabiols (flutes).

The walk ends at the Sanctuary of Gràcia, where a mass is celebrated, after which the pilgrims share the last panades (traditional pastries), and the celebration continues with traditional dances. It usually takes place on the first Sunday after Easter Sunday.

In s’Arenal, the Pancaritat is also held in a nearby quarry, where the locals gather in pilgrimage to spend a festive day with music and traditional dances.
