This is a very easy route, with little gradient, which runs almost entirely within the municipality of Llucmajor, where the densest network of cycle touring roads in Mallorca has been developed.
In addition to the route described, which is circular in nature, there are branches that allow us to lengthen or shorten the route according to our wishes: Camí des Palmer, Camí de S’Aguila, Camí de Sa Caseta, etc.
The route starts in the area of Son Verí Nou, just a kilometre away from the Aqualand water park. We take the MA-6014, although at the roundabout we continue straight on, until the end of a dead-end street, in the vicinity of Cap Enderrocat where La Fortaleza stands, in an extensive area of limestone origin, which has been catalogued as a Special Protection Area for Birds.
On our way back to the MA-6014 we turn left at Camí de Sa Torre, where we can contemplate a beautiful neo-Gothic church with an octagonal floor plan dedicated to the Virgin of Pilar. We continue on to Llucmajor, where we can visit the town centre, with countless monuments of interest. A stop at the talayotic settlement of Capocorb Vell, declared a National Historic-Artistic Monument in 1931, is a must. Here we can take the opportunity to recharge our batteries at the bar at the entrance.
A short distance away, we have the turning that will take us to Cala Pi, where there is a defence tower, erected in 1659 on one of the promontories that close the inlet. Among the cliffs is Cala Beltrán, where, according to legend, the fearsome pirate Barbaroja disembarked in the 16th century. On the way back, along the MA-6014, we will pass near Cap Blanc, where we will have a privileged view of the cliffs, arriving at our starting point.
